Only 1.9% of the patients had a history of direct contact with wildlife. The primary composite end point occurred in 67 patients (6.1%), including 5.0% who were admitted to the ICU, 2.3% who underwent invasive mechanical ventilation, and 1.4% who died. The median age of the patients was 47 years 41.9% of the patients were female. The primary composite end point was admission to an intensive care unit (ICU), the use of mechanical ventilation, or death. We extracted data regarding 1099 patients with laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 from 552 hospitals in 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China through January 29, 2020. Since December 2019, when coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) emerged in Wuhan city and rapidly spread throughout China, data have been needed on the clinical characteristics of the affected patients. In this study, high transmissibility of COVID-19 before and immediately after symptom onset suggests that finding and isolating symptomatic patients alone may not suffice to contain the epidemic, and more generalized measures may be required, such as social distancing. The attack rates were higher among those aged 40 to 59 years (1.1% ) and those aged 60 years and older (0.9% ). The attack rate was higher among household (4.6% ) and nonhousehold (5.3% ) family contacts than that in health care or other settings. The 299 contacts with exclusive presymptomatic exposures were also at risk (attack rate, 0.7% ). The attack rate was higher among the 1818 contacts whose exposure to index cases started within 5 days of symptom onset (1.0% ) compared with those who were exposed later (0 cases from 852 contacts 95% CI, 0%-0.4%). The overall secondary clinical attack rate was 0.7% (95% CI, 0.4%-1.0%). Among their 2761 close contacts, there were 22 paired index-secondary cases. We enrolled 100 confirmed patients, with a median age of 44 years (range, 11-88 years), including 56 men and 44 women.

Secondary clinical attack rate (considering symptomatic cases only) for different exposure time windows of the index cases and for different exposure settings (such as household, family, and health care). The final follow-up date was April 2, 2020.

During the quarantine period, any relevant symptoms (fever, cough, or other respiratory symptoms) of contacts triggered a COVID-19 test. All close contacts were quarantined at home for 14 days after their last exposure to the index case. The study period was from January 15 to March 18, 2020. This prospective case-ascertained study in Taiwan included laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and their contacts. To delineate the transmission dynamics of COVID-19 and evaluate the transmission risk at different exposure window periods before and after symptom onset. Better understanding of the transmission dynamics is important for the development and evaluation of effective control policies. The dynamics of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) transmissibility are yet to be fully understood. We use a bin initialization logic coupled with a fitting technique to construct projections for key metrics to guide public health policy. Our framework uses a compartmental system dynamics model using an SEIRD framework that accounts for multiple types of disease manifestations for the COVID-19 infection, as well as the observed time delay in epidemiological findings following public policy enactments. While Arizona policymakers relied initially on state-by-state national modeling projections from different groups outside of the state, we sought to create a state-specific model using a mathematical framework that ties disease surveillance with the future burden on Arizona's healthcare system. social distancing), as uneven disease burden across the expansive geography of the United States exerted different implications for policy management in different regions. In the ensuing weeks, American jurisdictions attempted to manage disease spread on a regional basis using non-pharmaceutical interventions (i.e. Upload 60 pictures with ~4.Beginning in March 2020, the United States emerged as the global epicenter for COVID-19 cases.None Optional: Suggestion for a possible fix

I expect that all pictures appear in the respective field after pressing "open" in file-manager. I try to upload multiple pictures (56) under Microsoft Edge. Uploading multiple images in Microsoft Edge not possible.
